First Encounter with Rapture Eve
s
Looking back on my first encounter with Rapture eve, im a bit embarrassed. But hopefully it will amuse you all and prompt you to send in your own stories!!!!
I had just started playing Celtic heroes and my level was still in the single digits when I first saw a player from Rapture Eve. Chickentooth was sitting on his broom at the crossroads in lir’s. Of course, I didn’t take any notice of his clan at the time. I don’t think I even knew what a clan was actually, I was that new. I did notice two things tho- the super fantastic broom he was riding on, and the most odd name for a character that I had ever seen O.o
I was so awed by this broom; I had to whisper and tell him that it was a cool ride. Chickentooth was very kind and said thank you then zoomed off. Every time I saw him on his broom in lir’s or in the catacombs I would just stop and watch it zoom. I confess I have even followed him a ways just to see it fly XD
During this time, I had no real idea what a clan was or did so I joined and left the minor clans. It didn’t seem to serve a real purpose to me, there was no sense of community, I doubt anyone even knew that I had joined or left. Then I had the bright idea to start my own clan.
The novelty of it soon wore off when I understood that I didn’t have the experience nor the outgoing nature to create the clan that I wanted nor the people. So for a while, I ran around with a clan of just myself. While I wasn’t exactly dissatisfied with playing the game by myself, im used to it in games and irl….I did want to be a part of something bigger this time around.
So I started asking around stone and shale about what their clan was like and seeing if there were any clans that had a strong sense of community and honor, and this lead me to Nero. Rapture Eve seemed to fit what I was looking for, and Nero made a very good impression on me, lol. I will say that I did have ideas about what a clan should be and what I wanted. But they paled in comparison with what Rapture Eve had accomplished and far surpassed my expectations. And as time went on, I learned more and more about the clan, and I have never felt regret at joining.
Remember Chickentooth? Yea, It was a surprise to me to find out after I joined that he was in the clan too. I really had no idea that he was not only in eve but also a guardian. And sure enough, when I saw him again in the clan, one of the first things I said to him was- you know, I STILL think that broom is cool.

Edit: I finally have my own broom!!!! Thank you Drako for selling me yours!
